Just North of downtown, Temple University is THE University of Philadelphia. Founded more than a 130-years ago as a night school for workers, today it has more than 35,000 students. Temple offers an abundance of programs and courses to inspire and challenge you. In the History Department, over 30 faculty members research and teach classes on a wide range of fields, from American, African, and European history to global history, from gender history to Jewish history and food history, from early modern Europe to the postmodern U.S.

We encourage students in the MA program transcultural history at the University of Erfurt to apply for a semester at Temple University. Each fall term, three fully funded positions are available in the DAAD-ISAP program.
(A full transfer of credits is possible.)
